8700 liters polyethylene tank | underground

The Rototec 8700-liter corrugated underground tank is a one-piece tank made of high-density linear polyethylene (LLDPE), produced by rotational molding and equipped with a corrugated structure that ensures its high resistance to soil thrusts. It is designed forunderground installation and storage of drinking water, rainwater and other compatible food liquids, in full compliance with current European regulations.

Installation

The cistern must be installed by following the "Rototec Interrogation Methods."

1. Prepare the excavation with a flat bottom and 15-20 cm bed of washed gravel (20/30 mm).
2. Lay the empty tank and gradually fill it with water, simultaneously backfilling with washed gravel.
3. Cover with topsoil (excluding clay or silty soil) for at least 40 cm above the cap.
4. Provide open venting if connected to pumps or lift systems.
5. Use extension PP77 to increase access height if necessary.

Warnings

• Product intended forunderground use only.
• Do not install near heat sources or in undrained soil.
• Use flexible piping for plumbing connections.
• Avoid light ingress to prevent algae growth.
• Install a leaf filter sump upstream if intended for stormwater.

Maintenance

The tank is supplied unwashed. Before use, wash with water and mild detergent or HACCP, rinse and repeat cleaning periodically.
