POLYETHYLENE PE100 RC MULTILAYER PIPES FOR DRAINS AND SEWERS

6-METER BAR

Polyethylene PE100 RC (MRS 10) pipes with very high resistance to cracking with a multilayer structure in black (inner) and brown (outer) color, for drains and sewers under pressure, vacuum sewer systems and the transport of non-potable water, in underground or above-ground applications, with characteristics in accordance with UNI EN 12201 and technical specification PAS 1075 for installations without sand bed or without excavation.

DESCRIPTION:

Design

The hydraulic design of a RENOVATION VRC + pipe network involves determining the diameters of the various sections, once the respective flow rate, length, piezometric height and roughness have been specified.

The sizing criteria, described in UNI 11149, must be able to meet the maximum flow rate

required, balancing the water supply according to demand.

Distributed head losses (J) can be evaluated through an abacus that relates the flow rate (Q) and the

velocity (V) of the fluid with the internal diameter (d) of the pipeline itself.

In order to avoid overpressure and stagnation, it is recommended that the flow velocity be between 0.5 and 2.5 m/s. The

localized pressure losses, resulting from the passage of flow through fittings and valves, on the other hand, should be evaluated

according to the type as defined in UNI 11149.

RENOVATION VRC + pipes comply with the requirements of UNI 10779 for the construction of water systems

fire-fighting permanently pressurized (the pressure rating of the system components in this case must not

be less than 1.2 MPa).

Excavation and bedding

The minimum width of the excavation must be at least 20 cm greater than the diameter of the pipe to be contained, while the

minimum depth of burial must be 1 m measured from the upper generatrix of the pipe and in any case always

weighted on the basis of factors such as dynamic loads on the soil above or the danger of frost.

Laying RENOVATION VRC + pipes also allows for different conditions than traditional methods for pipes made of

polyethylene. However, the installation must meet the requirements of UNI EN 805 and UNI ENV 1046 standards, in

particular for the preparation of the laying bed, the preparation of the lateral fill, the choice of materials and the

compaction.

Laying RENOVATION VRC + pipes through trenchless technologies (slip lining, close fit, horizontal directional drilling,...) allows an additional level of safety of the pipe systems by virtue of the higher resistance to the propagation

of cracking compared to PE100 pipes.
